Extended Stakeholder Group for the SecureFood Project

The Extended Stakeholder Group (ESG) of the SecureFood project is a collaborative platform designed to foster knowledge exchange, inclusive dialogue, and stakeholder-driven innovation in the field of food security and sustainability.

The ESG brings together a diverse community of stakeholders from across Europe and beyond, including representatives from industry, academia, policy-making bodies, and civil society. The group plays a central role in ensuring that SecureFood’s research and outcomes are grounded in real-world needs, experiences, and priorities.

What is the role of the Extended Stakeholder Group?

The ESG supports SecureFood by contributing expertise, feedback, and perspectives throughout the project lifecycle. Members engage in consultations, validation activities, and interactive events that inform the project’s research design, methodologies, and outputs.

ESG members actively contribute to SecureFood through participation in dedicated workshops linked to the development of the Resilience Governance Framework, User Requirements validation activities, and project-wide surveys.  such as the SecureFood WASTE SEC Questionnaire on Drivers, Interventions, and Food System Resilience and the Food System Crisis Cooperation Mechanisms Survey.

This sustained engagement highlights SecureFood’s commitment to collaborative knowledge generation and the co-creation of solutions addressing complex food system challenges.
