Hellenic Agricultural Organization – DIMITRA / Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AGRERI)
The Hellenic Agricultural Organization – DIMITRA is the national body responsible for agricultural research and technology in Greece, sponsored by the Hellenic Ministry of Rural Development and Food. ELGO-DIMITRA, with its 11 research institutes, supports Greek agriculture to face the challenges arising from global changes. Its aim is to conduct research, promote innovation, disseminate knowledge, technology, and advisory services in all sectors of the Greek and European agri-food chain.
The Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AGRERI) is one of ELGO-DIMITRA’s research institutes and employs a highly specialized scientific staff of significant research capacity. It is the major Greek research institute that focuses on economic, managerial, and social issues in the agri-food sector. The AGRERI research team has significant experience in coordinating and/or participating in EU and national projects related to various aspects of rural development and entrepreneurship, agriculture, aquaculture, marketing of agricultural products and food supply
Role in the project
AGRERI – (ELGO-DIMITRA) will lead Task 6.4 – Case Study 3 – Fish and Aquaculture products in Greece & Brussels, as well as Task 6.5 – Case Study 4 – Milk and Dairy products in Greece & Finland.
