2026 will be a pivotal year for the SecureFood project. After two years of research, development, and collaboration, we now enter an exciting phase where the project’s innovative concepts, tools, and methodologies will be tested and demonstrated in practice.

Indeed, 2026 will be the year where SecureFood will be showcasing that the solutions we are building can deliver real value and directly support the project’s main ambition of enhancing food systems resilience and advocating for food security and an interrupted food supply.

What to expect in 2026

To keep our community and stakeholders informed and engaged, SecureFood will publish a wide range of new materials throughout the year, including:

• New website content, with regular updates on progress and outcomes
• Short videos showcasing key developments, tools, and project activities such as the pilots
• A series of whitepapers, sharing deeper technical insights and results

Plenary meeting in Germany in February 2026

The SecureFood consortium is excited to gather for our first plenary meeting of 2026 in Halle, Germany. This event will mark an important milestone as partners align on progress updates, pilot preparations, and enhanced collaboration across work packages.

New infographic series on project innovations

In 2026, SecureFood will also launch a new series of visually engaging infographics. These will highlight our tools, frameworks, and key innovations in a clear and accessible format.
