The SecureFood project was proud to be represented at the 18th International Conference of the Hellenic Association of Agricultural Economists (ETAGRO 2025), held in Florina, Greece, on 10–11 October 2025. The event, themed “Strengthening the sustainability and resilience of rural economies: Green transition, digitalization and competitiveness,” brought together leading experts, policymakers, academics, and practitioners to discuss the transformation of Europe’s agri-food systems.

SecureFood partner The Hellenic Agricultural Organization – DIMITRA (ELGO-DIMITRA) attended on behalf of the consortium and presented a poster offering an overview of the project, with a particular focus on the two Greek case studies led by ELGO-DIMITRA and their expected results. These case studies explore innovative approaches to strengthening food supply chain resilience and improving sustainability through data-driven analysis and collaboration among local stakeholders.
Participation in ETAGRO 2025 provided an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of SecureFood’s objectives and to engage with key actors in the agricultural and rural development sectors. The conference’s emphasis on green transition, digitalisation, and competitiveness closely aligns with SecureFood’s mission to develop smart, sustainable tools that enhance the resilience of European food systems in the face of climate, market, and geopolitical challenges.

By contributing to discussions on the future of agricultural economics and sustainability, ELGO-DIMITRA helped highlight SecureFood’s role in supporting the EU’s ambitions for a resilient and sustainable agri-food sector. The event also served as a valuable platform for networking and knowledge exchange, strengthening connections with researchers, policymakers, and other Horizon Europe initiatives working toward similar goals.
The SecureFood consortium extends its thanks to ELGO-DIMITRA for their active participation and representation of the project at this key event.
