Founded in 1925, Galanakis Laboratories (GL) is a family-owned business located in the prefecture of Chania and managed by third-generation chemists. GL offers research, analysis, and consulting in food and environmental fields, particularly (i) analyses of wine/food/environmental/agricultural samples; (ii) applied research (functional foods development/waste valorization/alcoholic fermentation with modern biotechnological methods/other), (iii) consulting on food environmental fields; (iv) valuable compounds recovery from underutilized bioresources; (v) technical/chemical advice on new product development efforts; (v) technical studies on environmental, chemical, industrial, economic issues; (vi) dissemination, communication and exploitation activities through the food waste recovery network.
