The SecureFood project is inviting stakeholders from across the food sector to take part in a short, multilingual questionnaire that will help improve how we understand and address food loss and waste in Europe.
As part of our work to develop the WASTE-SEC tool, a simulation-based system that models how different factors influence food loss, waste, and overall food security, this survey will help us to gather valuable insights from food industry professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
Take the questionnaire here: SecureFood WASTE‑SEC Questionnaire on Drivers, Interventions, and Food System Resilience
The questionnaire explores the six key pillars of food security; Agency, Stability, Availability, Sustainability, Utilisation, and Access, and examines how different parameters affect them. It then examines how external drivers such as climate events, market dynamics, infrastructure, and governance influence food security and food loss/waste. Participants are also invited to share their views on potential interventions that could strengthen resilience and reduce waste across the food system.
Available in multiple languages through a simple dropdown menu, the survey takes just 10–15 minutes to complete. Your input will directly support the refinement of the WASTE-SEC tool, helping to ensure it reflects real-world priorities and challenges faced by the food sector.
We greatly appreciate your time and contribution to this important effort to build more resilient and sustainable food systems!
